My name is Hari. I’m interested in how systems can help people live more meaningful lives. I am particularly focused on the future of embodied intelligence and materializing purposeful acceleration towards the future.

Right now, I work on reinforcement-learning post-training for humanoid robots at Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research and Google DeepMind, with a focus on complex, long-horizon tasks. I’m also a founding research resident at Foundry, a robotics company automating manufacturing. Outside of technology, I’m a managing patner at Dorm Room Fund, backing student-led companies at the earliest stages, and hold formal and informal angel/advisory roles at organizations spanning science, venture, policy, and culture.

Prior to university, I founded a company that was acquired when I was 17 and conducted internationally recognized research in RL, CV, and robotics. I’m an currently an intermittent student at UC Berkeley’s M.E.T. program, and I’ll be joining OpenAI this summer as a Member of Technical Staff. If you suspect that we could have a mutually beneficial relationship, feel free to reach out!
